The Secretariat’s mission is to promote sustainable relations and socio-economic alliances between the Cree Nation (Eeyou Istchee), Jamésie, Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Nunavik regions in order to foster their harmonious development.

Values

Respect cultural, linguistic and territorial differences.
Promote business relationships based on comprehension of the local expectations, cooperation, respect and trust.

It was in June 2002, that a symposium entitled “Gateway to Building Economic Channels” took place between the Cree Nation leaders and the business people of Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

INFORM

The intervention of the Secretariat aims at quickly providing and establishing contacts on the territories of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Northern Quebec. The Secretariat plans meetings with organisations and businesses, allowing them to evaluate different potential avenues and advance with their reflections of strategic alliances.

COMMUNICATE

The Secretariat places a high value on the principle of mutual respect, good business relationships and understanding the context of Northern Quebec. The importance of the role played by the Secretariat is respectful integration of entrepreneurs eager to widen their horizons on the territory.

BRING TOGETHER

A multitude of networking events, orientation missions, conferences and business exchanges are at the heart of the activities offered by the Secretariat.

The Secretariat encourages alliances and partnerships that promote a win-win situation, cooperation, exchanges and transfer of expertise.
