The Secretariat to the Cree Nation Abitibi-Témiscamingue Economic Alliance (SCNATEA) is looking for an administrative assistant.
Reporting to the Director General, the position holder provides administrative, logistical, and communications support to the team and the Board of Directors. They contribute to the organization's smooth running through their organizational skills, thoroughness, and interpersonal skills.
What we offer:
- Permanent full-time position 35 h/week;

- Hourly rate starting at $26/hour according to salary policy (training and experience)

Your profile:
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken French and English—bilingualism required;
- Ability to work in a team and on several projects at once;
- Organizational, coordination, autonomy, speed, thoroughness, and discretion skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and excellent stress and priority management skills;
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and specialized software;
- Knowledge of graphic design would be an asset;
- Academic level: College (ACS) or Secretariat DEP;
- Years of employment experience: 3-5 years of experience.
Primary responsibilities:
Administrative support and internal coordination
- Draft, correct, translate, and format various documents according to the organization's standards (letters, reports, presentations, etc.);
- Manage mail, calls, and reception at the office;
- Ensure documents are filed;
- Coordinate internal and board meetings (notices, documents, minutes).
Management and accounting support
- Support senior management in tracking funding requests and preparing reports/accountability statements;
- Assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and certain basic accounting tasks (petty cash, deposits, suppliers).
Communications and Outreach
- Participate in the dissemination of information and documents (emails, MailChimp, social media);
- Maintain up-to-date databases and website content.
Logistics and events
- Organize travel, appointments, and reservations for the team.
- Assist with event planning and management (reception, logistics, programming, participant registration, reservation management, etc.).
Other responsibilities
- Perform various related tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the team and its activities.
