Recap of the Mentorship Training and Information Day: The Niimuudaan Program Takes Flight
On November 12, an enriching day of mentorship training and information was held as part of the Niimuudaan program, an initiative specifically designed for the Cree Nation. Led by Réseau Mentorat, the session brought together several economic development officers from Cree communities. They had the opportunity to participate in a training session within a safe and welcoming space, fostering discussions about the realities of their communities and their unique needs.

Business Exchange Day 2024: A Remarkable Success for Networking and Mentorship
On November 13, Business Exchange Day 2024 once again demonstrated its importance as a collaborative platform for economic stakeholders in the region and Eeyou Istchee. This 21st edition, held at the Forestel in Val-d'Or, brought together 200 participants, including 60 Indigenous businesses and 68 non-Indigenous businesses, generating over 300 business meetings. These impressive numbers underscore the enthusiasm for this flagship socio-economic development event.

The Direction générale d’Eeyou Istchee Baie-James of the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable celebrates its second anniversary!
On October 3, 2022, the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable officially announced the creation of a new regional office on the Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory. Since then, the Direction générale d’Eeyou Istchee Baie-James (DGEIBJ) has been ensuring the maintenance of 1,540 kilometres of roads and 145 structures.

The SAENCAT team took part in several of the activities organised throughout the week.
